It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kyong Cha “Candy” DeGrace on November 20, 2024, at the age of 80. Candy was born in Seoul, Korea and was a native of Johnston, RI.
Candy was known for her strong will, sense of humor, unwavering determination, and love and support for her family. She was a faithful servant to God with an unwavering devotion that brought her comfort and peace. Candy truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. She was a very kind person who believed in simplicity and generosity. Candy was a loving mother and grandmother and was happiest when she was with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
She will live in our hearts forever.
Preceded in joining the Lord, her mother, Ssi Pak and her father Man Kum Chon.
She is survived by her daughters, Desi (DeGrace) Ferreira and husband Gregory Ferreira, Tammie (DeGrace) DeFusco and husband Kenneth DeFusco, Johanna (DeGrace) Brown and wife Michelle Brown; grandchildren Tori Villella, Michael Villella IV, Gregory Ferreira, Jr., and Courtney Ferreira and step grandchild, Ashley DeFusco; great grandchild, Asher Villella.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visitation on Saturday, November 30th from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence.
Burial will be private.
