In Loving Memory of a Skilled Outdoorsman … Remembering a Life Lived ‘Close to the Land’!
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved son, father, brother, and friend at the age of 52, Ronald J. Yeater, a man whose spirit was forever intertwined with the great outdoors. Known for his quiet strength and unwavering generosity, he carved a life rich with adventure, skill, and kindness.

Ronald was the cherished son of Rolande (Nault) Carcieri and the late Larry Yeater. He is survived by his mother, Rolande Carcieri of New Jersey; his late stepfather, Thomas Carcieri; his stepmother, Josephine Yeater of Cranston; and his daughter, Tiffany Yeater and her spouse, Ronna Carillo both of West Warwick. He is also survived by his adopted children, Paul and Andrea Rianna, both of Providence, and his three brothers, Dave, Brian, and Tommy, and three sisters, Jennifer, Patricia, and Laurie. In addition, he leaves behind eight beautiful step-grandchildren, whom he cherished; his former spouse, Rose Yeater; his best friend, Dan Rosner, who was like a brother to him; and his trusted companions: black Labrador, Daisey, and beloved Cattle Dog, Lola Mae, who will miss him very much.

Born in Pawtucket on November 14th, 1972, he was raised mostly in North Providence. After high school, he graduated from a trade school and worked very hard for many years to provide for his family before becoming ill. A devoted and dedicated father and grandfather, his true joy was being with his beloved daughter Tiffany, his stepchildren and step-grandchildren. He took great pride in being a dad and providing the loving support and strength that only a dad can do. He was the calm at the center of the storm, the quiet strength whose love is felt in countless daily gestures, a reassuring hug, a shared laugh at the end of a long day, and wisdom offered without judgment. The love he gave continues to ripple outward, shaping children, grandchildren, friends, and all whose lives he touched. In grief, we honor his memory by living the lessons he taught and by loving as fiercely and selflessly as he did.

Ronald was funny, loved a good laugh, and making others laugh, but his true passion was the outdoors! He was a lifelong member of the Warwick Sportsman’s Club, the North American Hunting Club, and the National Rifle Association. A true outdoorsman, he found solace beneath the canopy of the woods, where sunbeams filtered through the leaves and rivers called him to their banks. His days were often spent in pursuit of game, as an accomplished hunter who valued not just the sport, but the deep respect for nature that it instilled. With patience and precision, he moved through wooded trails and open fields alike, always mindful of the land and its delicate balance.

As a master gunsmith, his hands shaped metal and wood with artistry and care. He restored heirlooms, crafted custom pieces, and shared his expertise with friends and fellow enthusiasts. To him, every firearm carried a story, and he honored each one with meticulous attention to detail. He was also a gardener, tending rows of vegetables and bright beds of tomatoes and herbs with equal devotion. The garden was a place of peace, where he nurtured life from seed to harvest, and found joy in giving away baskets of fresh produce to neighbors and loved ones.

Equally at home in the kitchen, he was a gifted cook whose table was always open. Whether preparing hearty game stews or family favorites, he brought people together with good food and laughter. The scent of his cooking drifted through the house, promising warmth and fellowship.

A sportsman in every sense, he lived with vigor and integrity—on the field, in the woods, and among friends. He cherished early mornings on the lake, crisp autumn days in the forest, and quiet evenings sharing stories around a fire. He encouraged others to try new pursuits and was always ready with advice or a helping hand.

His legacy is one of craftsmanship, compassion, and deep appreciation for the world’s natural wonders. He is survived by family and friends who will forever remember his ready smile, his generosity, and the twinkle in his eye when recounting a favorite adventure.

The community mourns his loss and celebrates the memories he leaves behind—a life lived fully and honorably, close to earth and heart. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Services for Ronald have been entrusted to the Berarducci Home and will be held at a later date.
