“SHARING RESOURCES”
An invitation to art & culture organizations, local artists, and entrepreneurs alike to explore ways to strengthen our creative ecosystem.
“Sharing Resources” is a series of four gatherings designed as opportunities to form new relationships, deepen our understanding of our creative ecosystem, and chart tangible resources to support local artistic practices.
Each gathering will center a different theme as it activates specific videos from the series “Time Has Told Me” to open conversations, identify possibility, and organize resources. This series is hosted by artist and cultural producer Hernán Joubá, with special guests joining the sessions to bring in specialized expertise on each topic.
The Community Libraries of Providence (CLPVD) is thrilled to host these gatherings as a way to deepen and expand its relationships with local artists and entrepreneurs throughout the city. CLPVD has recently unveiled a new Strategic Plan in which it renews its commitment to serve Providence residents with accessible and safe third-spaces to access information, social services, and meaningful cultural programming. Through these gatherings, we will also cover existing and potential resources that the libraries have available to support artists and creative entrepreneurs.
As we transition times of crisis and overlapping challenges, we hope this space will feel welcoming and nurturing to all of you invested in strengthening local systems of mutual support.
