Affordable Housing advocates believe that the path to economic opportunity and improved health and educational outcomes begins at the front door. On a walking tour through the neighborhoods near the new Pawtucket/Central Falls MBTA station, participants will learn how various housing developments and social service agencies work together to address housing issues in our community. Led by our community partners, Housing Works RI and Pawtucket/Central Falls Development Corporation, participants will visit development sites under construction and discuss the strengths and challenges the neighborhood faces in addressing housing and other needs.Starting Location & Time The starting location for this tour is Pawtucket/Central Falls Transit Center at 8:30 a.m. (300 Pine St, Pawtucket, RI 02860). Participants are welcome to meet us at this location for the walking tour. The Swearer Center will not reimburse participants for travel expenses to this event.Option For Group Travel via RIPTA For participants interested in being accompanied by a group, there will be a group traveling to the starting location via the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority bus (RIPTA). Using your Brown University ID you can board and ride the bus for free. The meeting time for this group is 7:50 am at the Swearer Center (2 Stimson Ave, Providence, RI 02912).
