Day One: Online Safety (for Parents/Caregivers & Professionals)

Join Day One for this online safety training, which will inform participants about keeping children safe while utilizing online platforms. This presentation will highlight how youth interface with today’s ever-changing technology related to social media, gaming technology, and internet browsing. Facilitators will also outline potential exploitation that youth may encounter on the web and will provide evidence-based insight on how parents and caregivers can positively address these risks with youth.
About Day One
Day One is the only agency in Rhode Island that is specifically organized to deal with issues of sexual assault as a community concern. We provide treatment, intervention, education, advocacy, and prevention services to Rhode Islanders of all ages—from preschool children to elder adults. Additionally, we advocate for public policy initiatives and systemic changes that positively impact how Rhode Island families handle sexual abuse cases.
