Here is our Park-Keeping schedule for May and June:
Saturday May 3, 1:30 -3:00 Removing invasive plants (garlic mustard, English ivy) and planting. Meet in the Ravine behind York Pond. Tools needed: clippers, loppers, small shovels, weeders.
Wednesday May 14, 4:30 – 6:00 Remove invasive shrubs and bittersweet. Meet near Angell and Parkside. Tools needed: clippers, loppers, pruning saw.
Sunday June 8, 10:30 – 12:00 Project TBD
Thursday June 12, 10:30 – 12:00 Project TBD
Here’s some general information about Park-keeping.
~You are welcome to drop-in for all or part of the event. That said, if you think you can come please let me know—it helps with the planning.
~ The intensity of the work varies within each event, unless otherwise noted. You can choose whether you want lighter or heavier work!
~We recommend you wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, and bring water and bug repellent.
~We can provide gloves and tools, although it helps if you can bring some.
