In this free workshop, the Audubon Society of Rhode Island will be bringing to the library preserved specimens from our collections to show the diversity and beauty within the natural world. We will learn why certain animals look the way they do, how we can capture their features in our art, as well as why scientific sketching is often more informative than photos. This class is for children & youth 10 & up. No artistic background needed, just an interest in learning about wildlife and in practicing drawing.
This program will happen on the third Wednesday of every month from 3:30-5:00pm from November 2024 to March 2025. The dates include 11/20, 12/18, 1/15, 2/19, & 3/19.
