The International Film Club to screen “In the Summers”

We would like to invite you to watch and discuss the film ‘In the Summers’ directed by Alessandra Lacorazza Samudio.
In the Summers is a 2024 semi-autobiographical drama film written and directed by Alessandra Lacorazza Samudio in her feature directorial debut. The film won the Grand Jury Prize U.S. Dramatic at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. She won the Directing Award at the same festival.
Every summer, siblings Violeta and Eva travel to New Mexico to spend time with their loving but unpredictable father . Over the course of four formative summers that span adolescence to early adulthood, Violeta and Eva learn to accept their father in this powerful and deeply personal directorial debut from Alessandra Lacorazza.
