Theresa Anne Coletta

Obituary
Theresa Anne Coletta, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 20th, at the age of 73. She was loved by her family and her many friends. Born in Providence, Theresa was the daughter of the late Antonio and Annunziata “Nancy” (Marchetti) Coletta. Theresa is survived by her brother Michael P. Coletta and his wife Sandra; two nieces Natalie Coletta and Lisa Gagnon; two nephews Anthony J. and Joshua Coletta, as well as great nieces, a great nephew and cousins. She was the sister of the late Anthony M. Coletta and his surviving wife, Teresa.

Theresa was born with a feisty spirit that characterized her whole life. After graduating high school in the late 1960s, she spread her wings and traveled south as a young single woman, meeting her future husband in Tennessee, with whom she was married and ran their locksmith business for twenty-five years.

Theresa was playful, determined, bright and outspoken. She laughed throughout her life unless she experienced injustice, and when she did, she could turn a curse that would set straight anyone in her path; she was respected and admired for doing so. She loved children, cats, Patsy Cline and chocolate of any kind. Her greatest love was her mother, who she lived with for the remaining years of Nancy’s long life. They were indivisible – each caring for, fighting for, and humoring one another. May they now exist together forever, eternally inseparable.
