Marie A. Forys, 91, a lifelong resident of East Greenwich, passed away September 3, 2025. She was the wife of the late Louis W. Forys. Born in East Greenwich, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Lena (DelPaggio) Perretta.
Marie was a cashier at the former Kent Theater for many years. She worked for the accounting firm of Elwell, Smith and Lawton, she was a bookkeeper at the former East Greenwich Dairy and was an office manager for Weather King Pools.
After retiring she volunteered for the Out Reach Program at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Kent County Hospital and the East Greenwich Senior Center. Marie was also an avid bowler.
She is survived by ten nieces and nephews and was the sister of the late Alfred Perretta and Anthony Perretta.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich.
