Anna Campo Lepore Obituary

With hearts full of grief and sorrow, we announce the passing of Anna Campo Lepore of Smithfield on April 10, 2026. Anna traveled to her eternal rest peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Anthony Lepore Sr., and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa (Landolfi) Campo.

Our mother was one of the kindest and gentlest women to ever walk this earth, and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. We are devastated, but she taught us resilience and strength, and we will honor that as we carry her love and wisdom with us always.

She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, married the love of her life, Anthony, and started a beautiful family. The two led a humble life filled with both struggle and triumph. They welcomed five strong-willed children into the world and raised them in a loving and faith-filled environment. When she lost her other half to cancer, her devotion to her faith and her children grounded her to go on to attend both CCRI and Providence College. She found meaning in her work at Bank of America until her retirement in 2017.

She cherished her time after retirement with her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as her ever-growing plant collection which she took great pride in nurturing. Anna was a beacon of light and a fiercely dedicated mother and grandmother. There will never be another like her. We are beyond heartbroken as we will never be able to fill the space she left.

She leaves behind her children, Lisa Lepore, Anthony Lepore Jr. and daughter-in-law Gina, Robyn Pingitore and her husband Dante, Lynn Tarro and son-in-law Michael, and Beth Stephenson and son-in-law Lawrence; her beloved sister, Claire Colucci; her nephew David Colucci, and many more nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Ashley Lepore, Matthew Lepore and his wife Emily, Katarina Ellerbe and her husband Christian, Michael Tarro Jr. and his fiancée Danay Perez Abreu, Kaitlyn Tarro, Brandon Tarro, Olivia Stephenson, and Grayson Stephenson; and her great grandchildren, Angelina Perry, Ava Watt, Ava Ellerbe, and Mason Ellerbe.   She was the sister of the late Santino, Antonio, John, Joseph, Salvatore, Emelio, Vito, Carmello, and Phil Campo, and Catherine Marchetti.

Family and friends are invited to honor her life during visitation at A.A. Mariani Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St, Providence, on Thursday, April 16 from 4-7 PM. Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 AM from A.A. Mariani Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St, North Providence at 10 AM. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her loving memory may be made to The Tomorrow Fund and The Lupus Foundation of America.
