Pamela Joyce Roomes

August 22, 1955 – April 18, 2026

It is with deep grace and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pamela Joyce Roomes, a devoted caregiver and beloved sister, aunt, and friend. Born on August 22, 1955, Pamela lived a

life defined by her outspoken personality and her unwavering commitment to the comfort of

others.

A proud alumna of Central High School, Pamela discovered her calling in the service of healing.

While working at Banister House, she completed her Certified Nursing Assistant program,

launching a career of compassion that spanned decades. For many years, she was a familiar and

comforting presence at the Elmwood Healthcare Center, where her dedication to her patients left

an indelible mark on the community she served.

Pamela was the cherished daughter of the late Joyce Archibald Waters and Charles H. Waters.

She was also preceded in death by her paternal father, Harris Roomes.

Her legacy of kindness lives on through her brothers, Kaven Corners of Woonsocket, RI;

Stephen Roomes of Tucson, AZ; and Melvin Roomes of Odessa, FL. She also leaves behind her

sisters, Dorothy Waters and Cheryl Waters of Providence, RI, and Alana Sewell and Charlene

Waters of Bellevue, VA. Her memory will be further honored by a host of nieces, nephews,

cousins, and lifelong friends who were touched by her explosive spirit.

Pamela Joyce Roomes will be remembered not only for the work of her hands but for the warmth

of her heart. She has completed her earthly rounds and now rests in eternal peace.
