Marjorie E. (Amitrano) Izzo

Marjorie E. (Amitrano) Izzo 84, of East Greenwich, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Gaetano “Don” Izzo, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Bertha (Greene) Amitrano.

Margie worked at National Chain Company as a supervisor for many years. She retired from her own cleaning business. Margie was also a very talented cake decorator, making wedding cakes and all of her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s birthday cakes. Margie loved to cook and bake. She loved to crochet and made blankets and baby blankets for everyone in the family and many friends.

She was also a resident of Port St Lucie, Florida for 20 years before moving back to RI 2 years ago.

She built a log cabin with her husband in Worcester, NY. Every year, along with her husband, they took their grandchildren up to the cabin to spend two weeks vacation, where they made countless memories and shared many life stories. The life lessons they learned from her and the love she gave are immeasurable.

Margie was loved by everyone she met and touched the hearts of many people along her life journey.

She is survived by her loving children, Gaetano Donald Izzo, Jr. “Donny” and his wife Lisa Izzo of Warwick, RI, Cheryl Ann Murphy and her husband James W. Murphy III of Saunderstown, RI, Lori Ann Izzo and her husband Rodney Gomes of Newport, RI, Marjorie Elaine Sinclair and her partner Fred Burdick of East Greenwich, RI; she was the treasured grandmother of David Caramiciu, Eric Caramiciu, Danielle Foley, Tara Maioli, Jamie Wood, Timothy Mitchell, Jr., Peter Booth, Jr., Nicholas Izzo, Zachary Caramiciu, Gaetano Izzo III, Michael Sinclair, Hailey Burdick, Nikolas Burdick “Nik”, Samantha Burdick and Frederick Burdick; great-grandchildren, Dylan Caramiciu, Owen Foley, Jakob Caramiciu, Caleb Foley, Mackenzie Silva, Kaili Caramiciu, Dominic Silva, Ariana Caramiciu, Andrea Cassidy, Makayla Caramiciu, Talia Booth, twins Alyssa Rose and Aidyn Gaetano Caramiciu, Peter Booth III, Tyler Caramiciu, Logan Wood, Elayna Lahey, Vito Wood, Cameron Maioli, Stella Louise Izzo, Salvatore Izzo, Leo Izzo, Everett Maioli, Claire Mitchell, Elle Mitchell and Jude Caramiciu; great-great grandchild Forest Foley. She was the dear sister of Kathy Amitrano and her wife Kathy Missell, and the late Vincent Amitrano and Jeanne Cardente. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many lifelong friends.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 10:00 am with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
