In Loving Memory of Jose C Medeiros

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Medeiros , who left us far too soon.

Joe was born in St. Michael, Açores, and immigrated to the United States in 1976 with his family. He completed his education through the 12th grade and dedicated nearly his entire life to his career as a baker at the age of 15. For many years, Joe proudly worked at Dunkin’ Donuts, where his strong work ethic and commitment were admired by coworkers and friends alike.

Joe was the beloved son of the late Manuel and Maria Bolota. He leaves behind a loving family, including his six siblings—five sisters and one brother—as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom will miss him deeply.

To those who knew him, Joe was unforgettable. In the Washington Park neighborhood, he was known for his larger-than-life personality, infectious sense of humor, and ability to make everyone around him smile. He was truly the king of the dance floor, never missing an opportunity to dance and bring joy to others. His charisma, quick wit, and playful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Joe found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He loved his pets, enjoyed spending time fishing, and treasured playing board games with his godson. One of Joe’s most memorable traits was his love of walking. No matter who offered him a ride or how far the destination, Joe would almost always choose to walk, enjoying the journey as much as the destination.

Joe’s kindness, laughter, and vibrant spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched. Though he is gone too soon, the memories he created and the love he shared will never be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
