Anthony G. Mardo, Jr passed away at home on March 10, 2025. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Anthony was a graduate of the Bishop Hendricken High School and attended the University of Rhode Island, where he majored in accounting and was a member of AE Pi fraternity.
Anthony enjoyed a 37-year career at the headquarters of the US Postal Service in Providence, Rhode Island.
Anthony was a past member of the East Greenwich Yacht Club, where he raced 420 sailboats, among others. Anthony was also an avid skier in his younger years, listing Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine and Loon Mountain in New Hampshire as his favorites.
Among his various hobbies, collecting books and record albums were his favorite pastimes.
Anthony is the son of Anthony G Mardo (Jayne) of Punta Gorda, Florida and the late Elaine Ann Thomas. He is the brother of David Mardo (Veronica) and Susan Mardo Kazandjian (Khatchig) and the uncle of Grace Mardo and Matthew Mardo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 14th at 11:00 am at St. George Maronite Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston, Rhode Island, with calling hours before the mass from 10:00 -11:00 am. Burial immediately thereafter at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery East Providence, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory should be made to St. George Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston RI 02920 or the American Heart Association, www.heart.org/donate
