Camille C. DiPaolo, 85, a longtime resident of Johnston, passed away on December 26, 2025.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Pontrelli) Corvese.
For over two decades, Camille served as the benefits manager at Cumberland Farms, where she was not just an employee but a friend and confidante to many. Her dedication and hard work were evident in her meticulous handling of benefits for her colleagues, who felt secure in her capable hands.
Admired for her heart of gold, Camille was the embodiment of kindness; indeed, there was not a bad bone in her body. Her family and friends often reflected on the comfort and support she provided, her words always coming from a place of love and sincerity. Her soft-spoken nature and sweet disposition were the hallmarks of her nurturing presence, and these traits resonated deeply within her community.
A fervent fan of the New York Yankees, she held a special place in her heart for Mickey Mantle, whom she touted as her all-time favorite player. Her enthusiasm for baseball was infectious, and she could often be found cheering on her beloved team with an exuberant spirit that matched the intensity of the most dedicated fans.
At the center of Camille’s world was her son, Jay, who was the light of her life. Her devotion to Jay knew no bounds, and she poured every ounce of her being into nurturing and guiding him. Jay, who stood by her faithfully, continued to be her unwavering support until her final days, taking care of her with the same love and tenderness she had always shown him.
Camille is survived by her son, Jay DiPaolo, of Johnston, and her brother, Paul Corvese, of Providence.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Andreanna L. Corvese.
