Anthony “Larry” Croce, primarily of Riverside, R.I., passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, at Hope Hospice in Providence, surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was born in Providence, R.I. on May 22nd, 1932; the son of Angelo and Elena, and older brother to Ronnie. He spent 61 years married to Marilyn Croce, who preceded Larry in death (October 9, 2017). Larry and Marilyn raised 4 children. Their only son, David, also preceded Larry in death (1986). He leaves his three daughters, Linda Croce, Lisa (Croce) Tuck, and Laurie (Croce) Deluca, and son-in-law Mark Deluca. He also leaves behind his five grandchildren: Mandy Gadoury and her husband, Matt, Nicole Salvadore, Daniel Isaiah Kelley Jr., Elena Hutton and her husband, Jon, and Bryant Lemay. Additional survivors of this loss are his nine great grandchildren: Austin, Aiden, Anthony, Nathan, Andrew, Lillie, Isaiah, Jay, and Ray. He will be missed terribly by all.
Larry was a beloved man, devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Larry practiced dentistry in Riverside for decades, and enjoyed hobbies such as golf, playing poker with friends, and was an avid fan of New England sports – let’s just say the Boston Red Sox and his wife, Marilyn, might have competed for his attention at times. In his later years, Cribbage and Bingo became favorite pastimes, and some of his daughters’ favorite memories with him include attending Providence College Friars games and trips to Fenway Park. Larry’s family will remember him as kind, loyal, laidback, sweet, and pure of heart.
