With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Elizabeth (Betty) Borrelli Ross, of Blackstone, MA. She is survived by her devoted husband and companion of 40 years, Richard Ross, and their son Kyle and his wife Emily along with their two children Ava and Julianne, of Ayer, MA. She is also survived by her brother, Anthony Borrelli, of Franklin, MA, sister, Theresa Rossi, and her husband, Steve, of Cape Coral, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved fuzzy cat, Lizzie. Betty was predeceased by her sisters, Barbara and Brenda Borrelli.
Born on May 17th, 1961, in Needham, MA., to Michael and Mary (Heeley) Borrelli, she was the youngest of five children. She attended Needham High School and thoroughly enjoyed her career & experiences in retail.
A ‘pioneer fashionista’, Betty NEVER left home without makeup and had a life-long passion for proper dress.
A real ‘class act’, she always presented herself in ‘just the right’ clothing and accessories, particularly shoes, and handbags, often carrying one from her Dooney & Bourke collection!
Betty took great pride in her Italian heritage which carried through to her cooking, making amazing meals from scratch. She was an avid reader and enjoyed thriller and mystery novels. A very devoted daughter, she loved spending weekends and holidays with her parents in Needham. Most notably, Betty was vocal that her greatest accomplishment was raising her wonderful and cherished son, Kyle, of whom she was immensely proud!
With a heart of ‘pure Italian gold’, she had a wonderfully colorful spirit and her memory will be kept alive in so many ways, including through her granddaughter’s eyes and love of the color pink!
A private Celebration of Life for Betty will be held at a later date. Meanwhile, condolences & memories may be left in her Guestbook on this site [providencecremation.com]. Rest in peace, dear Betty!
