Henry L. Johnson, Jr., 50, of Providence passed away Tuesday November 18th surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Sylvia (Brown) Johnson and the late Henry L. Johnson.
Henry was educated in the Providence school system, receiving his high school diploma. While he was in high school, he joined many activities, including wrestling and participating in City Year. After high school, he graduated from the Amos House Culinary Education Program.
Prior to getting ill, he enjoyed working in construction and landscaping.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Terrence Brown and Kenneth Johnson; a sister, Kimiko Johnson; his companion of Rose Rivera; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visiting hours will be at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, Tuesday December 2nd, from 10:00 am -12:00 pm, followed by a service at 12:00 pm. Burial will be private.
