A beloved spouse, father, and grandfather, James Scott Glode of Woonsocket, passed away on May 27th, 2025 at Landmark Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was a cherished son of the late Ernest and Doris (Lee) Glode.
He is survived by his devoted spouse of over 26 years, Priscilla (Pickett) Glode, his 2 sisters, Anita Cote and Lois Ward, and 3 brothers. Alan, Bruce, and Henry Glode. He is also survived by his children, James Jr., and Keith Glode, both of Burrillville, RI; stepdaughters, Lisa Jarrie and Debbie Jarrie-Brandon, both of Florida; 7 precious grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his loyal white German Shepherd, Bella.
A hardworking family man, Jimmy worked for Walmart for over 25 years where he was responsible for store set-up and logistics, before retiring in 2021. Prior to that he was employed by Tech Industries. An avid outdoors man, he enjoyed fresh-water fishing, camping, rides on his Harley, slots at the casino, NASCAR racing, and Patriots’ games. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling, especially Norwegian cruises with Priscilla.
He was a great cook and excellent grill master! Funny, friendly, spirited, and kind, he knew how to enjoy life and will fondly and forever be remembered for his adventurous spirit and heart of gold; his absence will be greatly felt by all he leaves behind. May he rest in eternal peace until we meet again!
Services for Jimmy to which friends and relatives are respectfully invited, will begin with visitation at the Berarducci Funeral Home, 185 Spring St., Woonsocket, RI. on Wednesday June 4 th from 4-6 pm. Procession from the funeral home on Thursday, June 5th at 8:45a.m. to his 10:00a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul’s Church of Divine Mercy Parish, Blackstone, MA. Burial will immediately follow at St Paul’s Cemetery, Blackstone.
