James T. Morrison

James T. Morrison, 85, of Johnston, RI passed away peacefully on Thursday October 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Rose T. (Sanzi) Morrison. Jim was born in Pawtucket, RI on April 19, 1940, the son of the late Irving Dingley and Caroline ( Baenzinger) Dingley.

James graduated from Tollman High School, Pawtucket. He then graduated from Johnson & Wales with an associate’s degree in business studies, he also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He then went to work for Narragansett Electric, until his retirement.

Jim was an avid sportsman for many years; he was an avid marksman shooter and was a member of a pool league. Jim was known for his warmth and friendship to everyone he met.

Above all, Jim’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a proud father of his two sons, George and Jim.

Jim treasured his friendship and connections he formed over the years. He valued his time spent with his loved ones.

He is survived by his sons, James F. Morrison and his wife Myra Dove, of Mooresville, NC and George T. Morrison, and his wife Maria L. Morrison, of Scituate, RI and the late Ronald J. Morrison, cherished grandfather of Angelica R. Bazinet and Alexandrea Tondreau, loving great grandfather of William Bazinet, IV and Madelyn Tondreau, brother of Edward Morrison and his sister Linda Morrison Brady and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
