Josephine M. Pignatelli (Nicolo)
96, of Johnston, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
For 53 years she was the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Pignatelli. Born and raised in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Benedetto Giuseppe and Fortunata (Chece) Nicolo.
Josephine leaves her four children, Donna M. Reedy, Lynn M. DiLibero (Fred), Thomas J. Pignatelli and David J. Pignatelli (Dina). She also leaves five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and her beloved dogs, Augie and her late Charlie.
Josephine graduated as a Registered Nurse from Roger Williams Hospital in 1949, later married, raised her family and then returned to her profession at Women and Infants Hospital until she retired. Among many of her talents and devotion to her family, Josephine was a golf enthusiast and loved to travel.
Visiting hours, to which family and friends are invited, will be at Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Avenue, in Cranston on Saturday, January 25 from 8 am to 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial to follow at Saint Ann Cemetery, 73 Church St., Cranston.
