Maria Snead

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Dorothea Snead on June 22, 2025, at the age of 39.

Maria was born on July 13, 1985 in Providence, R.I. To Richard D king Jr. and the late Charrie L. Snead. She was a staff member at OpenDoors in Providence, R.I.

She was known for the caring and loving person that she was. She loved her whole family and supported anything they did. She stood out in any room that she was in with her bright lipstick, her smile with that one dimple and her amazing style of clothing.

Her loving memory will live on in her beautiful children Janaya, Derek, Taja, Todd & Kylie Snead, Jaiden & Mariah Sobowale, father Richard D King Jr., sisters Tristian, Tristia, Bridget Snead & Jasmin Snead-Green, brothers Corey Clark, Mychal Thomas, Michael Taylor, Richard D King lll & Michael Snead Jr., grandmother Marie King, favorite cousins Kyron, Ricardo, Antonio & Dwayne Ledo.

Maria also leaves behind a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
