66, of Cranston, passed away Monday September 15, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Debra Valfredo.
Born in Providence he was the son of the late Angelo and Irene (DeFilippo) Valfredo. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
He was the devoted father of Marissa Valfredo and her partner Jimmy, dear brother of Terry Diano and Patricia Sheets and dear uncle of Shannon Diano and Sara Beggs and her wife Kim.
Richard drove trucks for most of his working career. He worked for Specialty Pipe in Providence, Office Concepts in Providence where he received numerous letters praising his dedication and professionalism, and Lowes in Cranston where he was affectionally known as “The Moffet Man “, because of his awesome ability to unload his cargo in even the tightest of spaces. Richard loved to make people happy and put a smile on their face. He loved his morning Dunkin Donuts coffee and Macanudo cigar at the ball field, the slot machines at Twin Rivers and a cigar and Remy Martin at Tammany Hall on Federal Hill. He was a Harley enthusiast, a New York Yankees fan, an excellent cook and a lover of music especially Stevie Ray Vaughan. He wanted people to know that he fought his hardest during his 2 ½ year battle with Multiple Myeloma. He will be terribly missed.
