A devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Virgilio found his greatest joy in the family he built. He was the beloved father of Virgilia, Lidia, Vertilio, Carmen, Doris, and Josue; beloved grandfather to Nazireth, Odhil, Anthony, Mikey, Lesley, Aronis, Bailey, Jaiden, Gisell, Chavely, Jade, and Noah; and proud great-grandfather to Aralynn, Gabby, Jacob, Jesley, Jazeel, Ava Jewels, Zora, Zyra, Evian, Hendricks, Hassiel, Heiner, and Adhara.
He loved the simple beauty of the Dominican countryside, where he spent many years and accumulated countless memories. His stories—lively, full of humor and wisdom—were one of his greatest gifts to those who listened to him. He enjoyed going to church, finding faith and peace in his daily devotion.
