Zarum, Michael D

Zarum, Michael D., passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, the son of the late Joel and Marjorie (Mayerson) Zarum and dear brother of Ella (Ellen) Zarum of Hawaii, he had lived in Warwick for most of his life. Michael earned a degree in civil engineering at the University of Rhode Island and later a master’s degree at Northeastern University. He worked for 15 years at C.E Maguire as a civil engineer and later worked in the financial aspects of defense contracting at both Raytheon and Oracle. Michael retired in 1999. Since that time, he as an active member of the Warwick Land Trust and was President of the Buckeye Brook Coalition.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Shalom Memorial Chapel, 1100 New London Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920 with burial immediately following at Lincoln Park Cemetery in Warwick, RI. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association
