It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the Mitchell, King, and Toe families announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt Sarah Mitchell King, who peacefully departed her earthly families and friends for HIS kingdom and glory on December 15th, 2024.

Sarah entered this world on September 6, 1938, unto the union of Samuel Mitchell, Sr., and Teach Baigolh in Rivercess, Grand Bassa County when she became one of seventeen children, including twelve girls and five boys.

Sarah was a fun, loving, caring, and kind individual who served as a beacon of light to all who crossed her path. Her affability, jokes, warmth, and “don’t take life too seriously” wit will be missed as are those whose lives she touched and transformed.

Surviving Sarah are her children, including Grace King Toe (Theo), Lucia King (Joko), Emile King (Plascer), Oliver J. King (Avril), and Amelia King Kijan (Caesar).

She, also, is survived by her grandchildren, including Ciatta Massaquoi, Bibian Geegbae (Sangay), Theophilus Geegbae (Beatrice), Denise Geegbae, Terrill Emile Toe, Talia Joh-Sara Toe, and Monjay Newton and a host of great grandchildren.

Siblings surviving Sarah include 1.) Amanda Mitchell Sulie (James), 2.) Comfort A Mitchell, 3.) Yvonne Parchment (Neville), 4.) Alfred Mitchell, 5.) Oretha Mitchell Yarzieh (Charles), 6.) Emma Mitchell Lloyd (Edwin), 7.) Selena Mitchell Dennis (Wilmot), 8.) Marjorie Mitchell, and 9.) Samuel A. Mitchell, Jr. (Velma).

Sarah was predeceased by her a.) parents: Samuel A. Mitchell, Sr. and Teach Baigolh; b.) husband: Emile Eku King, Sr.; and c.) siblings: 1.) John Payne Mitchell, 2.) Ophelia Mitchell, 3.) Shirley Ann Mitchell Toure, 4.)Thomas Payne Mitchell, 5.) Marsha Leslie, 6.) Rose Mitchell Benson, 7.) Agnes Mitchell, and 8.) Ellen Mitchell.
