Anne Lee (Alianiello) Ouimette of Mauldin, South Carolina died January 2, 2026 at home.

She was the wife of Stephen E. Ouimette to whom she was married for 49 years.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Frank A and Anne Lee (Clark) Alianiello.

Anne earned two degrees from the University of Rhode Island; a BA in Education, graduating with Distinction and High Honors in 1975, and a MS in Speech Pathology in 1982. After serving as an Educator and Speech Language Therapist for 42 years in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and South Carolina, she retired from the Greenville, SC School System in 2018, having last served as the Speech Language Therapist at Robert E Cashion Elementary School.

In Rhode Island, Anne began her lifelong career as an educator at St. Mary Academy – Bay View teaching English and working on the student newspaper, before moving on to the Burrillville School System to work as a Speech-Language Therapist. Moving to Massachusetts, she continued as a Speech-Language Therapist in the Wareham Public School System, before moving to South Carolina.

In South Carolina, she was awarded ‘Teacher of the Year’ while at the former East Gantt Elementary School, before moving to Robert E Cashion Elementary School where she served as the producer of the ‘Cashion Comet’ daily news program, in addition to her duties as a Speech-Language Therapist.

Looking back on her professional life, Anne will be remembered for her dedication to her students, where ever she taught, and her willingness to mentor and provide assistance to other educators.

Outside of school Anne was involved in children’s day care summer programs offered by the YMCA. She was a charter member of ‘Moms and Babes’ and the 53’ Club, as well as an active supporter of theater at Christ Church Episcopal School, The Boy Choir of the Carolinas, and Downtown Soccer Association.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Justin S Ouimette and his wife Alison Falb of Silver Spring, Maryland and two granddaughters Ruth and Greta, who she loves dearly. She is survived by her brother Paul A Alianiello and sisters, Frances Smith and Susan Bettencourt. She was a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend.

With grateful hearts, Anne’s family invites friends and loved ones to Perry-McStay Funeral Home, East Providence on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m. for a time of remembrance, sharing memories, and celebrating her extraordinary life.

On Wednesday, February 4, 2026 10:00 am a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Loretto, East Providence will be celebrated for Anne. Immediately following the service, Anne will be buried at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence in the family plot.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
