Frances C. Soccio, 96, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent F. Soccio, Sr. Born in Providence, Frances was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Rosina (Filella) Barbato and the devoted mother of the late Vincent F. Soccio, Jr.
Frances worked in jewelry manufacturing for Northern Safety for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a devoted homemaker. Frances, a.k.a. shrimp, found her greatest joy in her grandchildren and great children being there for every mile, stone, proudly attending baseball games, sporting events, school activities in special moments in their lives. One of her greatest expressions of love was through cooking and baking for her family. Her kitchen was a place filled with warmth, laughter and delicious memories. Her love the family was the greatest gift she gave, and the memories she created will continue to bring comfort and joy to all who knew her.
Frances is survived by her son, Robert Soccio; her daughter, Jeanette R. Soccio; and her cherished grandchildren, Robert Soccio, Jr., Kimberly DiScullio, Nicholas Soccio, and Madeline Soccio. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren, who brought her much joy. She was the sister of the late Gloria Giarusso, Angelina Mazzei, and Rose Azzoli..
