John H. McLaughlin, Sr., 68 of Rumford, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the beloved husband of Debra L. (Jordan) McLaughlin to whom he was married 36 years.
Born in Providence, RI. He was a son of the late Robert and Rita (Murphy) McLaughlin.
John was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, East Providence, RI. He was a warehouse manager at Denison Pharmaceuticals for 15 years until they closed and went on to work at J&L Landscaping. He enjoyed listening to 70’s era music, writing poetry, playing golf, and also an avid bird watcher.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, John H. McLaughlin, Jr. of Warwick, RI, Timothy X. McLaughlin of Warwick, RI, one grandson, Noah McLaughlin, two brothers, Stephen McLaughlin of East Providence, Robert McLaughlin of Coventry, and one sister, Joan McLaughlin of Cranston.
