Joseph “Joey” DiLorenzo, 53, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at his home, Monday April 6th.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Jean (D’Amico) DiLorenzo of Providence, and Peter DiLorenzo of Tennessee.
Despite his physical limitations he enjoyed going on field trips, gazing at bright lights, and listening to classical music. He will be remembered for being cooperative and friendly, and his great friendship with Joe Monahan, who watched over him like a big brother.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his younger brother, Michael A. DiLorenzo, who passed away in 2024.
Funeral services will be private and his family requests memorial donations be made to Hope Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
