Kathleen A. Deacon

Kathleen A. Deacon, 82, of Rumford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026 surrounded by loving family. She was the wife of the late Donald D. Deacon. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late James and Ethel M. (Sceeles) Rebello.

Mrs. Deacon was a Registered Nurse at Evergreen Nursing Home. She later served as a Proctor for the State Nursing Exam at CCRI. She enjoyed bowling, golf and playing cards, especially Pitch.

She was the beloved mother of Thomas J. Deacon (Cheryl) and Robert E. Deacon (Kristin); loving grandmother of Michael, Kassidy, Benjamin and Katie; cherished great grandmother of Ariah, Aidrik, Adora, Lydia and Lillith; caring sister of Roslyn Penacho, Lorrie Soares and the late Janice Guglielmotti and James Rebello, Jr.

Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one of the Parkinson’s programs that she supported: The Michael J Fox Foundation or South County YMCA (Put a note to specify Rock Steady Program ).
