In Loving Memory of Leila Jeannette Esteva
March 15, 1969 – June 11, 2026
With broken hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Leila Jeannette Esteva on June 11, 2026. Her passing has left a void that can never truly be filled, and the pain of losing her is felt deeply by all who knew and loved her.
Leila was more than a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, she was the heart of her family. She was the person everyone could turn to for comfort, guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she spent her life caring for others, often putting their needs before her own. She gave freely of herself, asking for little in return except the happiness of those she loved.
To know Leila was to know warmth, laughter, and genuine love. She had a beautiful smile that could brighten the darkest day and a spirit that made everyone feel welcome. She loved dancing, sharing stories, and creating memories with her family. The moments she treasured most were those spent surrounded by the people she loved. Her family was her greatest pride and greatest joy.
Leila leaves behind her devoted husband, Jose Reyes, who shared in her love and life; her beloved children, Juan A. Filion, Taisha I. Filion, Juan E. Filion, and Samuel Esteva; and her cherished grandchildren, Leila Berrios, Jayden Filion, Nova, and Jayliannie. Being a mother and grandmother brought her immeasurable happiness, and the love she had for her family was evident in everything she did.
She is survived by her loving mother, Providencia Nasrabadi; her sisters, Annette Esteva and Wanda Garcia; her nieces and nephews, Tiffany Robles, Joseph Nasrabadi, Alexis Isom, Isiah Isom, Francesca Garcia, and Frankie Garcia; and many great-nieces and great-nephews who were blessed by her love and presence.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Esteva, whom she carried in her heart throughout her life.
Leila also leaves behind dear friends who became family, including Iris Rodriguez, Kiara Rodriguez, Jeremy Rodriguez, and Carol Langais Horton, along with her in-laws, Melinda Filion, Jessynid Feliciano Filion, and Erica Casimiro. Her love reached far beyond blood relations, touching countless lives through her compassion, generosity, and unwavering support.
The loss of Leila is impossible to put into words. Our hearts ache for one more conversation, one more hug, one more laugh, and one more chance to tell her how much she meant to us. Though she is no longer physically with us, her love remains woven into the fabric of our lives. We see her in the strength she instilled in her children, in the laughter of her grandchildren, and in the countless memories she leaves behind.
While we grieve the loss of someone so precious, we are grateful for every moment we shared with her. Her life was a gift, her love was a blessing, and her memory will be a treasure we carry forever.
Leila’s story does not end here. She lives on in every life she touched, every lesson she taught, every act of kindness she inspired, and every heart that loves her still.
Until we meet again, we will hold you close in our hearts. We will miss you beyond words and love you beyond measure.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.
