Peter Gabriel Giampietro

Peter Gabriel Giampietro, 59, passed away suddenly on July 12, 2026. Born in Providence and raised in the Silver Lake neighborhood, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph P. Kourey and Rose Marie (Lavalley) Giampietro.

Peter dedicated 25 years of his life as an assistant manager for Detroit Auto Body. Outside of his professional life, his true passion lay in the garage and on the open road; Peter spent countless hours working on and driving his cherished muscle cars.

He leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly, including his daughter, Jessica Dutra, and his cherished grandchildren, Dante and Arabella Dutra.

He was the dear brother of, James Giampietro and his wife Brenda, and Joseph Giampietro and late wife Geraldine, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories.

Peter also leaves behind a legacy of warmth and laughter with his cherished nieces and nephews, James Giampietro (Vicky), and Kylia Baker (Josh), Tara Duclos, Rachel and Cameron Giampietro, as well as his adored great-nieces, Jasmine Giampietro and Jaliyah Rosario.

Peter’s generous spirit, easy smile, and the love he had for his family will be remembered forever.
