Sheila Jean (Mucci) Rozes

Sheila Jean (Mucci) Rozes, of West Warwick, passed peacefully from complications of a stroke on November 22, 2024 at Hope Health Hospice in Providence.

Sheila is predeceased by her parents Philip and Marjorie Mucci of Providence and her brother Raymond Mucci of Seekonk. She is survived by her sisters Cheryl Le Cam (Guy) of Lincoln, Joyce O’Flanagan (Kevin) of Seekonk and sister-in-law Terri Lima Mucci of Seekonk. Sheila also leaves behind many saddened in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Those who will miss Sheila are numerous; she had a vivacious personality that made it impossible not to like her. No matter her physical struggles Sheila met the world every day with a broad smile and a twinkle in her eye.

A 1971 graduate of Hope High School, Sheila received her Finance BA from Bryant College in 1978. She served in several corporate management roles during her career. Sheila was the Assistant Director of the Providence Civic Center from the early 70’s through the late 80’s. She loved both listening to and playing music – she was an excellent organist. In her later years Sheila became a tireless knitter; her nieces and nephews have fond memories of her showing up at their homes with huge bags of hats, scarves and mittens. Sheila was also an avid gardener who loved the Spring planting season.

Sheila was very devoted to her family – especially her siblings and their families. The holidays were always special to Sheila; she liked nothing better than a traditional turkey dinner.

Sheila Rozes left many lives richer for having been part of them. She will be sorely missed.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Hannah and Don Lusignon, true friends and companions to Sheila.
