Viola A. Goolgasian, 99, formerly of Providence, passed away Sunday January 12th, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Martin Goolgasian.
Born in North Providence, she was a daughter of the late Nicolo and Antonetta (Osso) Trifoglio.
She will be remembered for her dedication to the garment industry and her hard work ethic. She was a proud member of the International Lady Garment Workers Union (I.L.G.W.).
Her family would like to thank the entire staff at Roberts Health Centre and HopeHealth Hospice, for their caring and unwavering support.
She is survived by two children, Agnes Zanfardino and her husband Frank, and
Martin Goolgasian and his wife Linda; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law Marie Goolgasian; and her sister, Mary Greco. She was the mother of the late James John Goolgasian and Betty Ann (BA) Goolgasian.
At Viola’s request, services will be private. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to HopeHealth Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
