To the Editor,
The Providence Republican City Committee extends our deepest condolences on the passing of two notable leaders, His Holiness Pope Francis and Rhode Island Senate President Dominick Ruggerio.
Pope Francis’ spiritual guidance touched the lives of millions of people with his unwavering commitment for peace, justice, and the dignity of all people – born and unborn.
And Senate President Ruggerio had served the people of Rhode Island for decades through his tireless advocacy to make their communities better places in which to live.
We join all people of good faith in mourning the loss of these two men. We offer our heartfelt sympathies to their respective family members, friends, and all who had been touched by their remarkable lives. May their memories be a blessing and may they rest in eternal peace.
