Carl B. DeSanto

Carl B. DeSanto, 75, of North Providence, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 30th. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Borrelli) DeSanto for 29 wonderful years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Peter J. DeSanto and Ruth (Barlow) Pasqualetti. Mr. DeSanto served honorably in the United States Navy. He was a member of Morning Star Lodge #13 F&AM, the NRA and the St. Jude Society at St. Raymond Church and formerly of the St. Jude Society at St. Agnes Church, until it closed.

He formerly owned Carl’s Pub in Woonsocket and Patricia’s Pub in North Providence. Mr. DeSanto enjoyed cooking, telling stories, going to the beach with his wife, hunting, fishing, going to the gun range, feeding the squirrels with Lorenzo and spending time with his family.

He is survived by two daughters, Torri Nault and her husband Zac, Carla Norris and her husband Andrew; two step-daughters Rhonda Catelli and her husband Jason and Tanya Lepore-Andrade. A brother, Peter DeSanto; a sister, Judy Comerford and her husband Bob; five grandchildren, Santana Lepore-Andrade and her fiancé Blake Doyon, Adriana Chouinard, Lance Corporal Robert Andrade USMC and his wife Victoria, Juliana Catelli and Olivia Catelli; one great-grandson, Lorenzo Doyon; a great-granddaughter, Eliana Doyon, on the way; several nieces and nephews and his beloved Black Lab, Onyx.

His funeral will be 8:45am Thursday November 7th from the A.A.Mariani and Son Funeral Home,200 Hawkins Street, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St Raymond Church, 1240 North Main Street Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in St Ann Cemetery, in Cranston. Visiting hours are Wednesday November 6th, 5:00-8:00 pm
