Cyrus Gallagher

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our youngest son, Cyrus-Malik Coley Gallagher, who left us on February 16, 2026, at the age of 26.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on December 17, 1999, Cyrus had a beautiful, loving soul. He was happiest when surrounded by his family. His son, nieces, and nephews were his entire world. Cyrus was the greatest father to his son, who was his biggest and most treasured accomplishment.

Cyrus always had a joke, a smile, or a hug ready for everyone. He enjoyed gardening and working with his hands. Music was one of his greatest passions — he expressed himself through the lyrics he wrote, reflecting his heart and spirit. He was always ready to help anyone in need. To his siblings, he was the “annoying” baby brother and a true mama’s boy. Cyrus loved deeply and was a protector of those he cared about. He was the best uncle, cousin, and friend anyone could ask for. Even in adulthood Cyrus remained the lovable kid everyone knew and he loved everyone right back.

Cyrus was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Almerinda A. Bailey, and his paternal grandfather, Charles W. Carpenter.

He leaves behind his loving mother, Neisa S. Coley, and father, Kyeme J. Gallagher; his beloved son, Mateo M. Torres Gallagher; and his ten siblings: sisters Shackiellia C. Pridgen, Jovounna M. Coley, Jannea K. Gallagher, Keisha L. Perry, Ramea L. Perry, and Kyra C. Gallagher; and brothers Kyeme J. Gallagher Jr., Monzell C. Coley, Xavier V. Perry, and Reeyon W. Watts.

He also leaves behind his grandmothers Jeanne E. Gallagher and Elizabeth McPherson; his great-grandmother, June C. Reckling; along with many aunts, uncles, godparents, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will cherish his memory.

A memorial service celebrating Cyrus’s life will be held on March 8, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bell Funeral Home, with a repast immediately following at Rev. I. J. Bouffard Council 2965, 15 Bassett Street, North Providence, Rhode Island.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
