Jane E. Falvey, 74, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John J. Falvey and Alberta M. (Veresko) Falvey.
A lover of folk music, Jane could often be found behind the microphone at WRIU as a folk DJ, sharing the songs she loved, and at the Stone Soup Coffee House in Pawtucket, where the music and sense of community meant so much to her. She was there from the very beginning of Falvey Insurance Group, helping to build the agency from the ground up and remaining a steady, dedicated presence until her retirement. In the years that followed, she traveled widely throughout Ireland, a place she felt deeply connected to. At home, her Kerry Blue Terriers, Fergus and Grace O’Malley, were never far from her side and were among her greatest joys.
Jane leaves behind her daughter, Cheryl McGinnis-McCann; siblings, Kathryn Falvey, Claire Wilcox, J. Michael Falvey, Robert Falvey, and Brian Falvey. She is also survived by two grandsons, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 4-6 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 6 PM in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home of Patrick Quinn Funerals and Cremations, 825 Boston Neck Rd, North Kingstown, RI. Her burial will be private.
