Kathleen “Kathy” Cardente, 79, of North Providence and Johnston, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Kathy was born in Providence to the late Alexander and Laura (DiNapoli) Longo.

A respected real estate agent for REMAX Preferred, Kathy shared her expertise and warmth with countless clients throughout her career, leaving a legacy of kindness and professionalism. As a testament to this, her clients always became her friends. Prior to becoming a real estate agent, Kathy worked at the Citizens Bank in North Providence for many years and knew each customer by name. Beyond her work, she found joy in traveling, shopping, dancing, riding in convertibles with the top down, chocolate in any form, spending time with her family and friends and of course, eating.

Kathy was a loving and devoted mother to her sons, Bryan (Claudia) and Christopher (Jennifer). She loved and cherished her grandchildren, Jared, Breanna, Kendra and Brayden and her great grandchildren, Amelia, Miliana and Christiano. She was a constant source of love and laughter to her sister, Cindy and her brother-in-law Steve (Placella). She was also a loving and caring aunt, to her nephew, Matt and her niece, Nicole.
