Marilyn J. Charest

Marilyn J. Charest, 77, of Rehoboth, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 at her home. She was the wife of Terrance A. Charest.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ann (McCrink) Kane. Marilyn was an administrative assistant and worked with her husband at his accounting firm, Terrance A. Charest, CPA until her retirement in 2021. She enjoyed playing bingo, bunko, and attending concerts with her husband and friends. She loved to go to her “Happy Place” at her condo in Myrtle Beach. Marilyn was a generous and loving woman. She enjoyed being with her family and watching her grandchildren grow into adults. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Jennifer L. Medeiros and her husband Steven and Meredith S. Amaral and her husband James, four grandchildren, Conner, John, Christopher and Amanda, two great grandchildren, Cameron and Iris, two sisters, Ann Sunday and Mary DeFontes, one brother, Patrick Kane, sister-in-law Victoria Moren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles Kane and Sally Hagen. She was sister-in-law to the late Clive Charest.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-7 PM. Contributions in her memory to Hope Health Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be deeply appreciated.
