Steven M. Elliott, Jr

Steven M. Elliott, Jr., (PFD), 38, of Warwick, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 14th.

Steven was born in Worcester, MA, the son of Deborah Bliss (Kenneth Johnson) and Steven M. Elliott, Sr (Patricia Fredrich)

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, Nazareth Elliott and Nariah Elliott, and his siblings, Jennifer, Michael, Sara, Shane, and Ashley.

Steven comes from a huge, loving family. Steven was kind, funny, and had so much compassion for everyone. He loved his family, his fire department family, and his friends dearly. He was always trying to better himself and extend his knowledge in all aspects of life.

He graduated from Johnson & Wales with a degree in Sports Management. Steven had a passion for the culinary arts and was employed by the Benchmark Nursing Home, serving as their Head Chef. After pursuing those dreams, he realized that he could use his compassion and desire to help others and became a firefighter for the City of Providence, Rhode Island. Understanding the difficulty that comes with being a firefighter, one of his missions was to advocate for fellow firefighters who lived alone. He cared deeply about mental health. A passion he was trying to convince others who worked with him to join him in his crusade.

Visiting hours will be at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, on Sunday, October 20th, from 3:00-6:00 pm. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, and the burial will be private.
