Anna (Barbieri) Lombardi passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, at Heritage Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Born on June 30, 1942, in Providence, RI, Anna embraced her life and loving family. She was the beloved wife of Felix Lombardi, with whom she shared a life filled with love, laughter and mutual respect for nearly 60 years. She was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Nancy (Peretti) Barbieri. A devoted mother, she is survived by her son, David and his wife Julie Lombardi of Smithfield and daughter Leanne Saravo and her husband Kevin Saravo of Lincoln. Anna was the sister of the late Joseph Barbieri. She will be remembered as a loving grandmother to Mary Saravo and Frank and Domenic Lombardi and adoring aunt to her nieces and nephew.
To know Anna is to understand the pillars that formed the foundation of her life: an unwavering love for her family, a deep faith in God, and loyalty to her many friends. Raised in Cranston, Anna understood the value of people and family. She often spoke appreciatively of her parents’ sacrifices and efforts. She was encouraged to pursue her education by her parents and after graduating from Cranston High School, earned a full scholarship to Bryant College where she earned her degree in education. She taught at Warwick Vets High for seven years.
Married in 1965, Anna and Felix built a life with their children in North Providence. She soon embraced being a full-time wife and mother and developed a passion for cooking, gardening, flowers and reading. She was an avid shopper who was steadfast in the care of her family and household. Known for her radiant smile, she enjoyed talking to people and helping anyone in need. She cherished the company of others, embraced her life in Rhode Island and Florida, and loved going out with family and friends. Anna was deeply loved and will be missed.
