Camille A. (Jackvony) Caccia, 95, of Providence, passed away on June 5, 2026 at Golden Crest Nursing Centre. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Anthony D. and Lucy (D’Ambra) Jackvony. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony “Tony” C. Caccia. They were married for 60 years.
She is survived by three children, Jeanne Caccia-Silva and her husband Michael, Robert A. Caccia, and Janet Caccia Fulginiti and her husband Joseph; a grandson, Anthony Frank Caccia; and a sister, Ethel DiNezza. She was the sister of the late Claire Illuzzi and Agnes Jackvony-Egan.
Born in Providence, Camille grew up with her large family and many cousins. She was a 1949 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and was employed at the Providence Public Library. Camille also worked at Gorham Manufacturing Company and later was employed by the State of Rhode Island School Lunch Program for 25 years until her retirement.
Camille was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend. Spending time getting to know people, she made friends easily and had many good, close ones in her lifetime. Camille enjoyed helping others and was always very supportive. She had an outgoing personality and was a thoughtful, generous, and kindhearted soul.
Camille loved entertaining and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She hosted countless parties, holiday gatherings, and family get-togethers and especially loved spending time with her children and grandson. She enjoyed traveling, especially to her vacation home in Stowe, Vermont. An active member in her community, Camille was a communicant of St. Augustine Church.
The family wishes to send a special, heartfelt thank you to everyone at Golden Crest Nursing Centre for your compassionate care, love, and support. Camille especially enjoyed participating in the activities and looked forward to going each day. She also enjoyed eating in the dining area with her new friends and was well-liked by everyone.
In addition, thank you to Hope Health Hospice for the care and comfort you all provided to our mom in her final journey and the kindness and support you showed for our family.
