Carol R. DeNofa, 72, of North Providence, passed away on Saturday, December 2nd, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Stephen G. DeNofa. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Rose (Cesario) Nanni.
Mrs. DeNofa was employed by the City of Providence for over 20 years, working in the Tax Collector’s office. She was very involved in local politics.
Despite her long struggle with illness, Carol faced every challenge with remarkable strength and resilience. Her big heart and unwavering love for her family and friends left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Stephanie Paquette, Angela Vieira and her husband Michael, and Pamela Lopes and her husband Brian; a son, Marc Wyzanzsky; nine cherished grandchildren, Tina, Jennifer, and Kai Vieira, Isabel Lopes, Jonathan J. Conway, Nathan Paquette, Jackson Conway, Zachary Paquette, and Victoria Lopes; and a half-sister, Theresa Nanni. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Jonathan Conway, and a brother, Robert Nanni.
Her funeral will be from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 7th, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 at Presentation Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, December 6th, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
