Cynthia McAley

Cynthia McAley, 79, devoted wife, mother, nana and friend passed away on May 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 24, 1947, in Providence, RI to William and Alice (Copley) Crosby.

She graduated from Katherine Gibbs College. Prior to her retirement she worked as an administrative assistant for many years at Mine Safety in Esmond, RI, and Roger Williams Hospital and The Center for Complex Conditions in Providence.

Cynthia was predeceased by her parents, William and Alice Crosby. She is survived by her husband, Robert McAley; her children, Christopher (Andrea) Parrillo and Bethany (Richard) DiNitto; her grandchildren, Kristiana Parrillo, Angelina Parrillo, Zachary (Kacee) Trahan, Jake Trahan, Angeliese Trahan, Kingston DiNitto and Asia-Jean Baptiste; great-grandchildren, Zayden Trahan and Kaelyn Trahan; her brother, Bill Crosby, and her lifelong friend, Cheryl Jackson.

Cynthia possessed a nurturing spirit and a boundless, unconditional love for her family and her friends. She was deeply cherished by them all and will live in their hearts forever.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 10:00am-12:30pm concluding with a memorial tribute from 12:30-1:00pm at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, RI. Her ashes will be interred at Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI at a later date.
