Domingo Valerio

Domingo Valerio, 74, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6th, surrounded by love.

Born in the Dominican Republic on September 29, 1950, he was the beloved son of the late Ysrrael Valerio and Octavia Diaz Valerio. Domingo was truly one of a kind—a kind, gentle soul with a heart of gold. He was full of life and laughter, always ready with a joke or a smile. His joyful, silly nature lit up every room, and his unwavering willingness to help others made him someone everyone could count on. Whether family, friend, or stranger, Domingo was always there when you needed him.

He leaves behind six loving children: Mariela Marmol, Denise Valerio, Audry Giraldo, Erwin DeLuna, Jandry DeLuna, and Jose Ariel DeLuna; six cherished grandchildren; and six devoted siblings: Mayra Valerio, Altagracia Valerio, Luz Del Alba Valerio, Jose Luis Valerio, Rafael Valerio, and Federico Valerio (late brother), Ramon Valerio.

Domingo’s funeral will be held from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, at 9:00 AM on Thursday, June 12th, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 178 Dexter Street, Providence. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. He will be missed beyond words, but his love, light, and laughter will live on forever in all of us.
