Dorothy DiNezza, 94, of North Providence, passed away on December 23, 2025, in Our Lady of Fatima Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Michael DiNezza.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Yolanda (Poretti) Crabtree.
A devout Catholic, Mrs. DiNezza’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith. She found solace and strength in the rituals of her church, attending Mass in St. Ann Church regularly and embodying the ethos of charity and kindness central to her beliefs.
A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, it was Mrs. DiNezza’s family that truly defined her. She was the joyful grandmother whose eyes sparkled at her grandchildren’s achievements, and the adoring great-grandmother whose heart swelled with love at the sight of her great-grandson.
Mrs. DiNezza leaves a daughter, Diane Elsner and her husband Richard; a son, Michael D. DiNezza and his wife Michelle; two granddaughters, Lianne Poisson and her husband Nathan, and Kristen Elsner; two grandsons, Matthew and Mason DiNezza; a great-grandson, James Poisson; and a brother, John Crabtree. She additionally leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Esther Crabtree.
