John J. Emma, Sr., 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (McGurn) Emma. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John A. and Concetta (Croce) Emma. He was the devoted father of John J. Emma, Jr., and brother of Eleanor Golato (Albert) and the late Dorothy Rossetti.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7:00 PM. His funeral will be the following day, Friday, September 5, 2025 at 9:30 AM from the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Saint Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. A burial will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
